(Author’s note: to understand the complexity of Republican delegate projections, click here.)
Just like with the Democrats earlier today, it’s time to update the Republican primary standings. As explained in the last post, there can be competing estimates for the GOP, although these aren’t nearly as divergent as projections for the Democrats, whose annoying superdelegates really muddy the waters. This early in the process, we still see Republican estimates largely in agreement. I expect some divergence in March. Anyway, here are the:
Republican Primary Standings
CNN:
- Trump 67 (+50, thanks to South Carolina)
- Cruz 11 (no change for the rest… thanks to South Carolina)
- Rubio 10
- Kasich 5
- Bush 4
- Carson 3
- Fiorina, Huckabee, Paul (1 each)
- Trump 67 (+50)
- Cruz 11
- Rubio 10
- Kasich 5
- Carson 3
Green Papers (my personal favorite):
