As expected, California Senator Kamala Harris has declared her candidacy for the 2020 Democratic nomination. Also as expected, she is immediately considered a front-runner. You might be wondering why.
Next week I expect to publish my “One Year Before Iowa” predictions for the Democratic Primary, so I’ll save some of my Harris thoughts for then. For now, know that oddsmakers and PPFA agree that she is a top contender for Democratic nomination. In fact, she’s part of a group of three likely candidates that should be considered the co-favorites for the nomination.
But she won’t win.
